Gratings Specifications
Grating Definition
- Span / Length: The distance running along the direction of the bearing bars.
- Width: The overall dimension measured perpendicular to the bearing bars.
- Bearing Bar: The primary load-carrying bar running along the span of the grating.
- Cross Bar: The connecting bars extending across the bearing bars to provide stability.
- Pitch (C/C): The center-to-center spacing between bearing bars and cross bars.
- Cut Out: An area of the grating removed to accommodate pipes, columns, or other structures.
- Toe Plate:A bar welded along an edge with a vertical projection above the grating for added safety.
- Frame Bar:A bar used to close and reinforce the open ends of the grating.
